Shadow Tee Black
During the first wave of Covid-19 I started meditating on my garage roof. One day I came down off the roof, sat down on a milk crate behind my desk and this graphic happened.
The original photo was shot by Aunty Cecelia in 1991.
To me it's a visual representation of the darkness that consumed my dad and so many other great men before/after him.
With awareness we can cultivate love for ourselves and others.
With awareness the doom and gloom that took Herman and shattered my family can be overcome.
Together we can shine a light on the shadow. We can show others that it ain't all doom and gloom, the darkness isn't as scary as it seems.
